Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra announce fan events at EGX

Hit YouTube channels Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra will be holding fan events at this year's EGX, with daily signing sessions and a ticketed live show on Saturday afternoon.

Following a wildly successful first signing session at this year's EGX Rezzed in London, which attracted a huge audience and included an impromptu live ukelele jam of the Show of the Weekend theme, the presenters of both channels will be meeting fans through all four days of EGX 2017, from 21st-24th September.

Jane Douglas, Ellen Rose, Andy Farrant, Mike Channell and Luke Westaway will be doing two signing/meet and greet sessions a day on each day of the show, and will have new merchandise to buy at the official show store. The meet and greet sessions are open to anybody with a show ticket.

They'll also be conducting their very first live show on the Saturday afternoon at 5pm, in front of a select audience. Tickets for this will be available at a later date, but you will need a ticket to the show on Saturday in order to have a chance of attending.

"We held a fan meet-up at EGX Rezzed in April, to which we assumed eleven people would show up. We were bowled over when it turned into hours of excellent chatting, signing and selfies. At EGX this September we want to again meet as many of you as possible," said a spokesperson, probably Andy.

"So come and meet us at EGX 2017! There's no better way to settle once and for all the question of whether or not we are sophisticated video-producing androids."

Launched in 2012, Outside Xbox has enjoyed consistent success and recently hit two million subscribers. Sibling channel Outside Xtra, launched in 2016 to cover things that aren't Xbox, has grown rapidly and reaches over 300,000 subscribers. The team delivers daily gaming videos, plus fan favourites Show of the Week and Show of the Weekend.

EGX is celebrating its tenth birthday this year at the NEC in Birmingham on the 21st to 24th September. Tickets are available to purchase here.
