Huge batch of playable indie games added to EGX 2018 line-up
The Rezzed area of EGX houses the world's biggest collection of indie titles. Read on to see which games have just been added to the line-up and head to the what's on page to see all the playable games that have been announced so far.
In Flotsam you manage a small group of drifters who try to survive in a harsh world with no land. Your drifters can recycle floating garbage and sunken scrap to craft buildings and boats. They will need desalinators and rainfunnels to collect fresh water or fishing huts and nets to hunt for food. Your floating town is always in motion. Sail it around a dynamic world full of ruins of the sunken world, garbage islands and polluted coral reefs. But watch out for the dangers lurking around the ocean. Luckily you can rescue seagulls, dolphins or other refugees from the pollution so they can aid you in your journey.
Pixel Quest is making its public debut at EGX. It’s being developed independently by Chris Richardson (RedGindew) it is an RPG Sim where you are tasked with restoring a village from ruins to a fully functioning settlement. Gather resources to keep up with demand or your village will fall into ruin again!
The Fallen is a narrative focused science fiction experience. It focuses on the aesthetics of classic 80s dark science fiction with a strong emphasis on atmosphere and mystery. EGX 2018 will be the second time it has been publicly available. It won the best Year 2 award at the University of Cumbria Games Design and Digital Arts Exhibition.
Shuhari Puzzle is a mobile puzzle game where players experience the rules of Rock-Paper-Scissors as never seen before! Join Rocko the rock, Peep the Paper, and Scizza the scissors, across fun and mind bending puzzles! These cute and friendly characters will work with players across the world of Shuhari Puzzle. Shuhari Puzzle is the first entry into the puzzle genre by Toronto based award winning studio Picnic Game Labs.
Shadow Era is a truly cross-platform TCG, with a single online account playable on desktop (PC and Mac) and mobile (Android and iOS) as well as a physical printed version available for those who enjoy face-to-face encounters! Community-driven at its core, the game has greatly benefited from player feedback and contributions over the years and to this day, leading to an ever-evolving blend of deep strategy, broad variety and unparalleled balance.

With its falconry-based gameplay within uniquely generated worlds, Eagle Island is set to a beautifully modernized pixel art aesthetic and provides a breath of fresh air to the platforming genre.
Phoenix Point is the new strategy game from Julian Gollop, the creator of the original X-COM games. Phoenix Point is set to release in June 2019 on Steam and GOG for Windows, Linux, OSX and Xbox.
