First playable games revealed for EGX 2018

We're kicking off the first of many game reveals for this year's EGX with a fantastic lineup of indie titles heading to the vast Rezzed area.

Get all the info on today's announced games below and look out for further reveals in the coming weeks. Over 200 playable games are expected at this year's event, keep track of them on our show floor page.

PHOGS!

Taking inspiration from games such as Mario 3D World, Noby Noby Boy and Hohokum along with popular cartoon series Adventure Time and CatDog - PHOGS! is a stylised adventure physics puzzler set in a vivid and colourful world. You play as a duo of dogs, connected via an elastic, gelatinous mid-section, on an adventure where you combine your imagination with the unique characteristics of your PHOG to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles in unusual and adorable ways.

PHOGS! contains 30 diverse levels set across multiple worlds using ‘Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons’ style controls to play alone or stretch your co-operative abilities with a friend as you learn to work together to advance along your adventure and discover more of the Phoggyverse. PHOGS! is intended for digital release across multiple platforms in 2019.

Production Line

Production Line is an isometric indie car-factory simulation/management game where the player designs and builds their own sprawling car factory. Developers Positech Games (Gratuitous Space Battles / Democracy) will be at the show to demo the game and collect feedback from players. The version at EGX will have a vast list of updated content since the last time the game appeared at a UK show. Come along, say hi and let the team know what sucks about the game :D.

Mice on Venus

Mice on Venus is a game about investigating cases with ambiguous morality. The player's job is to solve cases assigned to them by the worlds Citizens and decide for themselves what's right & wrong in a living, simulated, world. The game offers a dynamic narrative focused on allowing the player to solve cases with little to no hand-holding. The project has been developed solely by Callum Hancock, a 20 year old second year University student. Along with an accompanying dynamically scored soundtrack composed by Kevin Doran.

Those Who Remain

Uncover the unknown dark secret by making your choices and travelling to another world that mirrors our own. But most importantly, try to survive by staying in the light.
