Battlefield 1 crowned EGX 2016 game of the show!

Battlefield 1, the latest installment in DICE's critically acclaimed FPS series, has been voted EGX 2016 Game of the Show by you, the attendees.

EA's game fought off strong competition from the likes of Dishonored 2 and Final Fantasy XV which placed second and third respectively. Yooka-Laylee, the beautiful new platformer from Playtonic, was the highest placed indie title, coming in seventh. Bandai Namco had a great show with attendees, with Little Nightmares and Tekken 7 both placing in the top 10.

In addition to placing in the overall top 10, Yooka-Laylee also won the much coveted EGX 2016 Rezzed Zone Game of the Show. Boneloaf's hugely popular brawler Gang Beasts came in second, with EGX Rezzed 2016's top voted indie game, the chaotic cook em up Overcooked, placing third.

PlayStation VR games playable in the Rezzed Zone also featured in the top 10, with Battlezone and Windlands impressing attendees who tried Sony's cutting edge new tech.
