It’s time for the Borderlands Cosplay final – witness the best of the best from the world of Pandora and beyond
Listen up, Vault Hunters! The celebration of all things Borderlands continues at EGX with the Grand Final of the 10 Years of Borderlands Cosplay Competition heading to London this October.
The contest has been launched to celebrate the community of cosplayers who’ve created amazing Borderlands costumes, props, weapons and make-up styles since the franchise’s inception in 2009.
Over the past few months, heats have been held across the UK and online to determine 20 of the finest Borderlands cosplayers in the country, and it has all been leading up to this. The final will take place on Saturday 19th October as a special category within the hugely popular EGX Cosplay Championship. The winning finalist will be awarded the top prize of £5,000 with second and third spots nabbing £1,000 and £500 respectively. The finals will be judged by Kelly Jean and Hannah Lydia .
The competition is all about celebrating the Borderlands community. As Mad Moxxi cosplayer Bendy Benz notes, ‘the community is amazing, they’re all just lovely!’ So whether you’re cosplaying at the Expo, fancy trying out Borderlands 3 for yourself, or just want to hang with the #Borderfam, come and say ‘Heyooo!’ at the Borderlands 3 stand!
Even if you can’t make it, keep an eye out for highlights through the #BorderlandsCosplay hashtag @2K_UK on Twitter, and @2KUK on Instagram. In the words of new villain Tyreen Calypso, feel free to ‘like, share and obey!’
