EGX Announcement Questions

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees, industry partners and staff and as such, masks must be worn at all times inside the event but we will be monitoring government guidelines to stat in accordance with those, also we will have Wider aisles, spaced out playing positions, signs around the event, ample queue space to allow for social distancing.

Yes you need to be vaccinated, people will need to bring one of the following: 

  • Proof of completion of a full course of vaccination two weeks prior to arrival.   
  • Proof of a negative lateral Flow Test or PCR result taken within 48hrs of arrival  
  • Individuals under 18 will not be required to demonstrate COVID-19 status.
  • All attendees, except those who are exempt, are required to wear face coverings or masks. 

Fully vaccinated means 2 weeks after completing a full course of vaccination, currently in the UK this does not include a booster dose.

EGX Birmingham  2022 is scheduled to run 4-6 March and there are currently no plans to postpone or cancel.  In the event that EGX Birmingham  2022 is postponed, your tickets will be automatically transferred to the new dates.  If you can’t attend on those new dates you will be entitled to a full refund.  If EGX Birmingham 2022 is cancelled you’ll automatically receive a full refund.

General EGX Questions

EGX Birmingham is everything fans love about EGX London with the addition of the beloved Rezzed area of the show. Key features that you have come to expect from EGX will be there such as playable games, panels and more.  

EGX Birmingham 2021 takes place in NEC, Birmingham on the 4th to 6th March.

There will be a range of EGX tickets to cater for various needs. Our Super Pass offers the best value for money and comes with a stack of goodies including an exclusive EGX22 Super Pass Pin Badge and Lanyard, includes a discount at the official EGX store and much more. Super Passes are limited in availability and expected to sell out well in advance of the show. Plus we will have Standard Day  for each of the 3 days. Full details and pricing of all tickets will be available on this website shortly. 

Yes, under 10s go free, however, please note that this offer is restricted to one child per ticket paying adult. Additional children will need to hold paid-for tickets.

Yes, if you head to our ticket page once tickets are live, then you will be able to fill in a form which will allow our team to review your application. 

No problem! Drop us a line via our contact page and we'll be happy to help. Please note, we will be happy to provide complimentary tickets for teachers/tutors who are attending EGX as part of a trip.

As always we are planning on bringing the biggest and best games of 2022 and beyond as well as your favorite features such as EGX Theatre, Tournaments and more.  We will be sharing full details across our channels throughout 2022. Sign up to our newsletter or follow us to be kept up to date. 

 

Visitors of all ages are welcome to attend, however, under 16s need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. It's fine for one parent or guardian to accompany a group of under 16s.

EGX will feature a number of 18+ rated games and developer sessions. Under 18s will not be permitted to play these games or attend these sessions, even if they are accompanied by a parent.

The playable games and features will be the same on each day, however, the developer sessions schedule will differ from day-to-day. Don't worry though, most sessions will be live streamed on Twitch and available to watch later on the EGX YouTube channel.

There are plenty of catering outlets within the NEC. You can find more information on the NEC’s website. 

No sharp metallic blades, nothing that can fire a projectile, such as BB guns. A weapons check desk will be set up at the event. Props or weapons may be retained by our staff for the duration of the event if they are deemed to be unsafe. Please email us for more information check out our doc here.

There are a number of ways to get to NEC Birmingham.  The NEC has a very easy to use webpage which will give you all the information you need.

EGX welcomes all visitors. Visit the NEC’s website for full details of the venue accessibility options. 

Yes, by partnering with HotelMap we are able to provide attendees with the best possible rates on recommended nearby hotels. We will have a web page with recommended hotels for you to access nearer the show. 

The NEC has free public wifi but, with so many people trying to access it, don't bet on it being reliable!

Yep, there are plenty of cloakrooms. Visitors can store bags, coats and luggage.

Once purchased, tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, refunded or returned. The right to refuse admission to an event is reserved by the EGX Expo Limited at all times and/or event venue, who may take health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account at their reasonable discretion and may from time to time carry out security searches. All guest appearances are subject to work and personal commitments. To the fullest extent permitted by law we will not be responsible for loss, damage or injury to any person or their property howsoever caused.
